John 5:24

  • To help believers develop and mature in their relationship with God and with fellow believers.
  • To help believers use their natural talents and spiritual gifts to effectively accomplish the work of ministry.

To identify, train and support believers as leaders who will carry

the message of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the local church into the world.

We will provide a place to encounter God in Worship and encouragement.

We will assist people in building relationships that respond

to peoples needs, hurts and interests in the context of a cultural

relevant experience with Jesus Christ.

We Value Biblical Preaching and Teaching

2 Timothy 2:15                     2 Timothy 4:2                       2 Timothy 3:16,17

Colossians 3:16,17               Colossians 1:28                    1 Peter 1:19-21

  • We will seek to teach God’s word with integrity and authority, so that seekers find Christ and believers mature in Him.

  • Our preaching and teaching shall be doctrinal, evangelistic and practical. (Expository preaching will accomplish this.)

  • Our preaching and teaching should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.

  • What the Bible teaches takes precedence over traditions or human opinions.

We Value Praise and Worship

Colossians 3:16,17               Ephesians 5:19,20                1 Corinthians 14:26

Hebrews 13:15                     Psalms 67:3                         Psalms 113:3

Psalms 147:1

  • It is not enough to worship the right God; we must also worship Him in the right way.

  • Church music should have an entertaining quality, but the primary function is to glorify God with our music.

  • Our worship must be appropriate to His character. Psalms 33:1-3

  • We need to worship God in a worthy manner through thoughtful words, devoted prayers, and excellent music.

  • We will provide opportunities for passionate worship for all generations.

We Value Prayer

Matthew 7:7-11                    Ephesians 6:18                     1 Thessalonians 5:17

James 5:13-18                      Philippians 4:6                     Colossians 4:2

  • We believe that God desires his people to pray and that He hears and answers prayer.

  • For the believer, prayer ought to be a daily matter – a personal, dynamic experience between himself and God.

  • Prayer involves adoration.

  • Prayer involves confession.

  • Prayer includes thanksgiving.

  • Prayer includes intercession.

  • Prayer includes petition.

We Value Biblical Community and Fellowship

Acts 2:42                              Ephesians 1:22,23                Hebrews 10:24,25

Ephesians 4:12,13                1 John 1:3-7                         Galatians 6:10

Matthew 25:40

  • We commit ourselves to cultivating deep abiding relationships within the body of Christ; it includes loving one another, maintaining unity, caring for one another, and practicing forgiveness among fellow believers.

  • This can best take place by providing small group ministry.   We will identify, train, and support and oversee those who lead small groups.

  • We will also develop and oversee a well thought out benevolence policy to meet practical needs within and outside our church.

  • The all-satisfying supremacy of God shines most brightly through sacrificial deeds of joyful love.

We Value Evangelism and Missions

Matthew 28:18-20                Acts 8:4                                Matthew 24:14

Acts 1:8                                Matthew 9:37,38

  • We believe that the church has been given a global mission: therefore, there are four commitments we will make in regards to evangelism and mission:

–          We will support the “church” in other parts of the world.

–          We will continue to support and seek to encourage other in our church family to consider career missions.

–          We will maintain and further develop an effective strategy for promoting missions by hosting an annual mission conference, conducting short-term mission trips, and having a mission emphasis month each year.

We will make our fellowship aware that every Christian is a missionary.

  • We value un-churched people and we will use all available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win and disciple those who come to faith in Christ.

We Value Godly Leadership

Ephesians 4:11-16               1 Peter 4:10,11                    1 Peter 5:1-4

1 Timothy 4:12-16                2 Timothy 2:15                     Philippians 2:15          Romans 12:1,2

  • We are committed to a “team” model for ministry and organization that will prepare God’s people for work of service.

  • We will commit ourselves to a Servant-Leader leadership style as opposed to secular leadership.

  • Our spiritual leaders, Elders, Pastor, and overseer must see to it that teaching, worshiping, and caring goes on in the entire church.
